Two Platforms, One Mission

Local AI Collective operates two platforms to serve local Calgary businesses and community organizations:

Web Garden

Multi-tenant hosting for local organizations

  • Free websites with blog systems
  • $6/month symbolic fee (filters for commitment)
  • Currently hosting 2 live sites

Bot Army

AI chatbot platform with RAG pipeline

  • PostgreSQL backend with pgvector
  • Live client: Keystone Hardscapes
  • Collects conversations, tracks leads

The Micro-Project

We're participating in Data for Good Calgary's Micro Projects Cohort 5 (4-6 weeks).

Our Goals:

  • Build analytics to track engagement across both platforms
  • Create client dashboards with actionable metrics
  • Onboard 3-5 new community organizations
  • Document privacy-safe data handling practices

What Makes This Different

Most Data for Good projects work with existing nonprofits. We're building the tools first, then finding organizations who need them. It's infrastructure-first philanthropy.

We're not trying to compete with $200/month agencies - we're serving the market that can't access those services at all. Small Calgary businesses and community organizations get free tools, and volunteers learn real-world data handling with production systems.
